Saw you on fb.Clean looking conversion package. I swore up and down l wouldn’t do a 550/701 swap,but recently came across an old 550 for free.lt’s in an old barn and has bees,wasps,and hornets nests everywhere.Been waiting to go get it and can now with the colder temps.

Heck yeah dude! They’re honestly really fun with the power and reliability of the 701!

I have a 550 that i need to rebuild, going thru my options, rebuild what i have, reed motor, or convert.

Are you guys able to get the pump to preform well with a 701?

Yes a stock js or sx pump is fine. If you use the js one I’d recommend using a bulkhead brace. Most people run a straight 18, 19, or 20 depending on what you’re looking for. Boring the nozzle out too helps.

it's a more stable fx1 in my opinion... they can be plenty of fun. They certainly power through leg drags a lot better

i still love the fx1... dont get me wrong.. but a well set up 550/701 (especially with wide tray and 750 pump swap) is a better investment
