Blaster Cooling hose routing

I just bought a 95 Waveblaster with a 61x, ada head, flow control valve, and what I belive is a Coffman sizzler. I have read a few posts on here regarding the correct routing with this setup, but can find info only when dual cooling is set up. I will go dual after the summer is over, but for now I want to stick with single cooling. I have 2 fittings on the head, 3 on the exhaust, one on the stinger, and 2 through hull pissers. What would be the best way to route these lines?

I am wondering if the person who installed this exhaust cut out the water jacket holes in the manifold to head pipe gasket. If I shoot air into the cooling fitting on the head it comes out the all 3 of the head pipe fittings. I was under the impression that water enters the exhaust manifold, goes through the top end, and then into the pipe. If the holes are cut out in the exhaust, I wouldn't have proper cooling no matter how the hoses are routed. Is that correct?

3 on the exhaust? I see it, why so? Has the third fitting been tapped by previous owner or is it factory?

Right. Well in my limited experience:

No flow between the manifold and header pipe, achieved by either a gasket or just how the manifold/header are designed.



Single cooling line into bottom of manifold, both outlets on the head into one T or Y fitting (making 2 outlets into 1) then running into the bottom of the header pipe section. Out the top of the header pipe to a T or Y fitting. One side of the T or Y fitting overboard through pisser, the other side of T or Y fitting to flow control valve, then into stinger/waterbox.

This is proper. This will leave you with one spare pisser, can use later when dual cooling is running. You will also have the other fitting on the top of the header pipe. Plug off I assume, if the fittings all go into the header pipe and share a common supply/cooling chamber in the header.

There would be other ways, but I believe this is best practice.

I figured out why the air was flowing from the cylinder head water fitting to the head pipe water fitting. The water jacket blew through the gasket in the exhaust manifold.

Once I get the new sealed gasket in, i should be able to route the water properly. For this season, since I don't want to make more of a project that I need to, I should be able to take the single water from the pump and feed the exhaust manifold. Then it will run into the cylinder, up to the the cylinder head and out into the head pipe. I have 2 fittings on the front of the head pipe and 1 in the rear. I'm thinking if I run the 2 separate lines from the cylinder head into the 2 fittings on the front of the head pipe, the water will flow into the hotter side of the pipe and flow to the rear of the pipe and exit the ski from there. (1 line to a Y which will go to a flow control valve and one to the through hull pisser.)
Does anyone see an issue with that setup?
