Super Jet Cost effective handle pole options for SN

I finished my SN rebuild last summer, and really need to get a shorter pole. I'm 6'3" 240 and the stock one is way to long. I find my self putting the bars right up against my hips to even plane and not bob around. I know there a tons of very high quality aftermarket options, but those are probably the same cost as my 91 SN. I have also had a hard time finding a RN to chop down for less than $350. Are there any other options I have not considered?

hazard bracket and 96+ pole, honestly the only/best way to do it. it might seem overly pricey but think of it like this...once you purchase the pole/steering and bracket for your squarenose and decide to upgrade skis later your pole and steering will transfer right over, and you can recoup most of the money you spend on the hazard bracket because people are always looking to purchase.

Good luck with the round nose pole, they are rare as can be and never go for $200 anymore.
IMO, there are no reasonable options for new poles. They are literally just a stick with a bar on them and people want huge money for them. I do find it weird you want the pole lower though. I'm 5'10" and the pole is only a couple inches too long for me, which should be about perfect for you. But everyone's different.

Thanks for everyone's help. I ended up finding a RN pole on eBay for $200. Looks like I just need a hazard bracket or similar before the spring. I will keep my eyes peeled
