I get about 3 season out of them. And swap them in out of the kids power wheels etc so they get a decent amount of use.

I also run the generic agm batteries. I Usually get about 2 seasons. I retire the old ones into sit downs, and they get sold with the ski. typically pay $25-30 for one off eBay. Anymore I just get the cheapest one I can find.

And I can usually find same good price on a size 12, then go in all my stand ups. 50% more CA than a size 9, and half the weight of a 16.

everything adds up like crazy, often forget the small stuff like gaskets, hose, cable, etc..and your man hours.......in general if its not like your situation a unique build i often have realized it is
cheaper to buy a complete ski than building it yourself...

But building your own ski is more about what you want out of it.And when you are done, you know everything about it.There’s also the pride factor and skill level you obtain from the build.
Eleven years ago l built my first ground up hull. Before that l had several 440’s,550’s,X2,and a 650 sx.Rebuilt everyone of them. All which led up to actually putting one together from just pieces.Made lots of mistakes along the way.
It’s not all about the money...

*But yes, friggin builds will nickel and dime you to death!

Makes the krash ready to ride skis for only 13k seem like one hell of a deal.

my buddy bought a krash, brand new... man even a 2019/2020 is full of issues. Seemed almost worse than when I built my ski all the little bugs and dumb things. He just ended up selling it frustrated with all the crud going on with it. it had some issue and killed 2 batteries with a month, even sitting on a tender, and that was just one of the annoying things.

I just bought a complete round nose with all the Goodes and transferred everything to my brand new hull then sold the round nose hull and got back half my money that I spent for it complete. That was the cheapest way I could find to build an aftermarket hull. I had the motor refreshed when it was out and went through everything else to make sure it was all good and clean
