Super Jet Couple questions

Couple questions i need answered.
1) what is the best cleaner to remove 2 stroke oil from the hull?
2) what is the best way to remove the brown rust looking hard water stains from the exterior of the hull? (courtesy of the sprinkler system)
3) I have a RN SJ i need to replace the handlebars on. I know there is alot of personal preference here, but what are the recommendations? It currently has the stocker on it so i am assuming i need to change out the stearing plate as well?

Thanks

1.Dawn
2.CLR (calcium lime rust remover) or vinegar.
3.The UMI and Blowsion steering plates and bars seem to be the most popular.

Well, i used dawn inside the hull and them simple green afterwards and it came out nice. Tried CLR on the outside for the rust stains and it didnt do anything. Thinking i am going to get some starbright today and see if that helps.
Thanks for the advice on the cold fusion stuff, I will look into that.

apple-cider vinegar is pretty good for cleaning rust off metal. i don't know about fiberglass though.

agreed, although i use white vinegar, it is excellent for removing build up and hard water stains off metal.. dont see why it wouldn't do the same on fiberglass, not sure if it has an effect on paint though..

For the exterior of the hull use a hull cleaner (can be purchased at walmart or Academy). They typically contain muriatic acid. Be VERY careful with this. Work small areas at a time. If it stays on the hull too long it will damage it. You should not need to scrub much at all. It should come off very easily in about 30 seconds or less. See links below:

No, you do not need to change the steering plate to use an aftermarket handlebar. Suggest you use a 4 degree bar. Anything else I would try out first before buying.

I used Star Bright on the exterior of the hull and the trailer and WOW! That stuff is amazing. I sprayed it on using an old windex bottle and by the time i made it around the ski, where i had started had dissappeared and was ready to hose off.

But now i have another question, lol Since the hull looks so good now, does anyone know of a product that will make the plastic pieces look less sun faded?

After the hull is relatively clean, I've always used spammyspam 3 then spammyspam 2 on my hull to polish and final clean..especially on the top where the blue gelcoat has gotten all white and ashy from being in the sun. Takes some elbow grease, but I found the spammyspam products to work better than the boat gelcoat stuff I bought from walmart. Brings it back to new...

Yeah,
I am referring to the plastic parts on the old sea-doos. I know they make stuff especially for that, wondering if anyone has used any of them on a blaster or something. This way i am not wasting money trying different products out.
