What do you guys use for the gap between couplers in a Sj?

Too close and they can hit, too far spits out the coupler. Just picked up a set of billet Ada from Thrust. Just curious what you guys are doing gap wise......

Thanks!

I space them to 5 mm. I also use billet couplers and I like doing tail stands, which may bump the couplers if they're too close.

I only ride surf and have them packed hard together. They are gunna hit together regardless of the gap you leave cause the motor moves around way more then you would expect so the theory was packing them together for surf riding reduces the run up momentum able to be achieved before they hit.

Yamaha says 4mm on the OEM setup... I was always wondering what my gapping should be - Sometimes when assembling the motor I gad like 7mm difference, I would hammer the midshaft a bit to make it 4-5mm but that method seemed odd to me... Kawis are way better at this IMHO - no need to shim, hammer etc. Just bolt right up...
