Afternoon all. I will be away from the shop for at least a week or a little more. I was injured in a micro sprint car crash at rockfish speedway in Raeford NC. I'm still currently in the hospital with fractured c6 c7 and t1 vertebrae and a partially calpsed lung. I have had full feeling in my legs and arms the whole time but doctors are running all sorts of tests to make sure there is no spinal cord damage. If tests come back good I'll be heading home soon (been her 4 days already). Being a one man band I'm often behind schedule so this is not going to help. I'll be back at work as soon as I can bare it. doctors are saying 6 + weeks but I'm hoping I'll be working again in 2 or so weeks with physical help from friends. Any questions please text and expect about a day delay on answering. I will get back to you. I normally prefer phone calls but with the neck brace on and all hospital people around text is the only way at the moment

PS vertebrae fracture are in non threatening place so once spinal cord is cleared I'll have minimal risk of re injuring. They are telling pain management is going to be what limits me from work right away

Sorry to hear Chuck but glad the injuries weren't any worse. Rest up and take the time to heal right. You wouldn't shortcut rebuilding a customers motor so why rush through something as important as the body that makes everything else possible.

Thanks all for the well wishes. it really means alot. Didn't get final test yet due to auto accidents needing the machines and doctors (least that's what they say) .

@DAG rockfish speedway is actually a cool little track for micros. if you're in the area you should check it out some night they are Racing. We only came for an off season race that was paying some money (alot of PA and NJ guys attending). this is the second year we have come. now Raeford the town is nothing to speak of. .....

100% Chuck. Don't sweat it, your recovery is most important, I missed 10 months of work in 2013 and thru 14. I am still recovering in time and money. People can wait, and those that can't can either wait or come back later on.

Glad to hear you survived and will make a comeback. Injuries are a tough deal sir.
