Quick and easy is sand it down and glass over it.

The right way if you have water inside is to cut out the tray, refoam and reglass.

I'm not a 550 owner, but the best thing may be to cut out the tray, build a new tray that is wider and install drain plugs. Much more work, possibly a much better result.

If it were me though... I would sand it, glass it, ride it, sell it for something better.

Welcome to stand ups! I have a 550 as well, they are a blast.

Vumad has good advice. I'd try removing the rest of the turf to look for more cracks there. An inspection of the entire area will be needed to make sure you don't overlook any other cracks when repairing it.

If you're leaning towards the quick fix Vumad described I would suggest drilling an inspection hole through the tray and into the foam. If the foam is soaked (and it almost certainly is) your time would be best spent defoaming the tray and performing the mods Vumad mentioned. Repairing a cracked tray soaked with water will only last until the next time it freezes.

As long as you aren't dealing with heavy soaked foam, sanding and glassing over it will get you back on the water right away!

Thanks for the info I'm pretty sure the foam is soaked so it'll need to be replaced. Are there any videos or walk-thurs on how to cut out the tray?
