Personally I'd do a full tear down and make a plan after inspection.

Negatory ghost rider. Crank coupler loosens counter clockwise (standard threads, lefty-loosey).

Definitely good advice though to take the coupler off before removing crank from cases though.

Where would a home hobbyist go to get a service manual like this? Is this a Yamaha publication?
