Cracker Sinks SKi to the bottom of Atlantic... HELP

I wanted a Pre-preg Waterdawg hood next... as a upgrade/exchange deal for the hood Jeff says he is replacing.... Not sure If I will ever see anything from the guy.

It would be nice for him to at least send me the stuff that I payed for last December.

Hey Bronson, you mind posting some pix of your ski. in particular, the tray area. I love the thought of no foam, just want to get a better visual... I'm having a rough time conceptualizing how much reinforcing you have to do to the tray area.

thanks...

Glad to hear it's holding up. You certainly have put enough time into it. If you're going to paint it, just clearcoat it. It would take about 1,000,000 hours of sanding and filling to get a decent paint job out of that.

Don't forget the numbers in crayon :wiggle:

I forgot about that. Makes it look tough, and by tough I mean ghetto. How's the front exhaust working out for you Bronson? Too many fume? Too loud? Just right?

LOL

I'm picturing Bronson in his new house bringing home his sunken ski and setting up shop in the back yard getting the engine running again. Neighbors gotta love the new kid in on the block. And then a party this Sat...Priceless

left the foam out of mine too, no gunwales on the ski either!!! here she is without the footstraps or holes in rear filled in. going to paint shop on monday for some sexy-ass silver. anyway, i left the foam out and sealed and reinforced the living piss out of everything inside. "should" hold up. i don't go as big as bronson, mostly carver, so i think it should be good to go. thanks for the advice Cracker!

Not :lmao:

Totally sunk my ski in Overhaed surf Sunday! Its a floater! No foam conspiracy is a buch of :bs2: My tray leaks in a little water over time, but not enought to let her sink to the bottem..... tray stayed up, and floating high just as well as it would with dry foam, probably much better then wet foam would do.

Just make sure if you go the no foam route that you reinforce! That foam adds strengeth to the tray.

Boat is holding up like a battle tank, 1/2 to 3/4 throttle roles all day... a few Backys as well/

So, would you call that a Saltine Jet???

j/k!!!!!!!!!!

whats the advantage of not having gunwhales?

...none that I can think of, other than something different. been riding the same hull for seven years now. wanted to try something i haven't had the balls to do in the past. also, lots of room in the tray for my big-a$$ feet.
