Crank bearing failure and damage.

I got a set of cherry 760 cases. My dumbass pushed the crank pin in on the flyhweel side bearing. Dunno why it never crossed my mind to loctite it.

Millwright work was a blast. I'll go back to it eventually once my dog goes and I can get back on the road. It's a make it work kind of job. And you get to acually see real world shiat. Not pansy Joe who sits behind a desk all day type computer bs.

Anyways. Like mentioned. Your crank bearings let upyr crank Frey. Those cases are fawked to anyone who's time is worth more than 20 bucks an hr.

I fixed a set of cases where all 4 pins were pushed in. Extract old pins, Use a piece of tig rod as a new pin, weld the hole closed from the other side. It’s not ideal, but in a stock HP scenario it works fine. Big $$ stuff I wouldn’t chance it.

I built a 701 years ago with a new SBT crank. The crank's rear bearing failed after two hours of running. I cussed SBT and then ordered an ADR crank. I put back it together with the ADR and ran it, after about another two hours the ADR's rear crank bearing let go just like the SBT. I pulled the motor down, this time I measured the cases where the rear bearing lived and found the cases where .015" out of round. The cases were the problem that caused both crank bearings to fail. After that, I measure any cases that are shinney where the bearings mount and as Bruce says, I use green Loctite Bearing Mount to mount them. I did toss the bottom case that was .015" out of round.
