300/440/550 crank case chipping away inside whilest riding?!? large and small chunks of metal inside PICS PICS

so put a baffle on the front and this fixed up my problem, so im tuning away, getting real close to to dialing it in when i experience what i thought was 1 cylinder, so i get back to the ramp, plugs pulled to find this !!!!

Your connecting rod lower bearings cages are falling apart, you need a crank rebuild, common problem

That piece is part of the rod thrust side washer
crank rod bearing is coming apart...crank will need a full rebuild or replacement
when you pull off the cylinders you will see it
check to see if the ring is pinched
you most likely trashed the piston too

thanks guys,

i think im gona parts the motor and look into getting it a new motor.
i chopped up my 650 today, all today in 35 degreee heat! peak summer here in Syd.

shortened it 5 inch ( cut at the rear pump bolts straight up)
kept tray, useing it as kicker
shorten and widen tray walls/sides
deepen the front left and right corners, taken right up for max foot space
re glassing tray and removing water logging
refoamin

will install 2 foot straps ive held onto for 10 years lol.
