Crankcase full of gas??

Had the same problem, turned out to be the Oring on the seat, was worn out and letting fuel in around it replaced that and haven't had the problem since.
Was it like a ridiculous amount of gas? Like you sunk your ski in gasoline lake ??

I was just surprised at the amount of fuel that could accumulate from that small of an opening, that quickly.

Yea I had to crank it forever to get it all out, I pulled the fuel line off the carb until I figured it out otherwise it would just fill back up

figured i would follow up on what it was even though it is going to further confirm my status as "a really really dumb guy"

so when i switched the carbs i discovered that due to the direction of the pulse line nipple on the fuel pump cover plates, i needed to switch plates. most of you already can figure it out from here, but when i switched them i failed to notice that on one of the cover plates the plastic diaphram stayed on the plate and one it stayed on the carb. so when i put the plate on the carb it had no plastic diapram on it so i am assuming john at watcon was basically right with his guess of faulty (or in my case missing) diaphram.

if there is a way to screw something up i'll figure out how to accomplish it.
