crankcase sealing

I had problems a few years ago using Yamabond 4 when it first came out. I have been using 3bond 1211 ever since and have had zero problems. Well worth the price IMO. Why take chances with something this important?

I haven't checked this thread in a while....I ended up buying yamabond 5 ..... should I buy the 1211 or is the yamabond 5 fine?

bump........i just opened the tube to seal my crankcase and the stuff is black, its yamabond 5.....anyone know if this is the right stuff to be using.....it says it is drying type liquid gasket and yamabond 4 says semi-drying type liquid gasket

what gives?

hmmm, i dunno.

..... id use 1211.
