I bought a 1997 superjet with 61x cylinders on a 6m6 case (not preferred engine but got a good price on ski). It ran great for the first 30 gallons of fuel then I lost all low end power. I started disassembling the motor to find the rear dome chewed up, so I figured something broke.
Further digging into the motor i found what broke. Not exactly sure what it is called but believe it is a connecting rod shim or thrust washer. It is the gold spacer on the sides of the connecting rod where it connects to the crankshaft.
My question is can this be fixed or do I need a whole new crankshaft? Also what is the missing/broken piece called? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
