Super Jet Crankworks stroker?

I emailed Crankworks the other day in regards to their crank services and didn't really get a straight answer. I'm already hesitant based on their response to me but I thought I'd check to see if anyone here has had any experience with them. Their billet stroker cranks are the same price regardless of the stroke so they answered that completely.

Stroking a stock crank is what I'm unclear of. They say it's $400 to stroke the crank plus any parts I may need which I can fully understand if they find something wrong with the bearings or rods. However, does the $400 include the $155 disassembly and $155 reassembly fees? Does a 4-5mm stroker crank require new rods? Do they just measure the crank and assume it's balanced or is that extra too? I can stomach $400 to stroke a decent stock crank but if it's $400 plus $310 dis/reassembly plus $375 balancing, it'd be stupid not to buy a billet crank.

I don't know personally. Art tells me great things about them. I really regret not coughing up some additional money to go with a 4 or 5 mm stroker when I first had him built me my engine 2 years ago. At this point, I'd have to get a whole new cylinder, sleeves, etc.
I'm really happy with the power of my stock stroke motor, though. Best motor I've ever ridden.

Ya, better get the details. That guy is super slow on his work and also in replying back.
I called there once and left a message. It was over week later before he returned the call. Needles to say I had already gotten a crank...
But I have always heard that he does great work.

my 4mm crank from art was somewhere around $980 but that was buying one outright not using mine as a core and getting it stroked. I shopped around and that was the best stroker build price I could find.

I had someone from crankworks contact me about this. He said it is $400 for the labor and apparently they replace all parts except the actual shaft and journals regardless of the condition. So new rods and all the bearings. He didn't quote me a price but after doing a quick look online, I can only imagine the additional parts will run another $300+. So $1000 for the crank that everyone else was saying sounds about right.

When I spoke to Crankworks a few years ago, they specifically told me that it would be disassembled, parts cleaned and inspected and ONLY parts that needed to be replaced would be. Unless they've changed their policy, it seems like different people give different descriptions of the work required. :(
