I'm thinking about getting a packing peanut dispenser... but they are expensive... $120 brand new and about $70 used on ebay for a 15 cubic ft unit.

Plus you also get the bonus of the ones they used to pack them in.

BTW, if you are shipping packing peanuts, is it best to wrap them in bubble wrap or just use packing peanuts?

I always go to my local newspaper place and ask for End Rolls....its about a 3 foot wide roll of paper that is probably a hundred feet long at least wrapped up on a thick cardboard roll. You can then mount it on the wall and just roll out paper.

They give them to me free as long as I only get a couple a week. If I want more its about $5 a roll. Or you can find your local recycling plant and ask if they get bundles of newspapers(the extras that aren't bought)...they will usually turn their head and let you take as much as you want.

And I individually wrap every item in packaging material, then make sure the box is fully packed to where the item doesn't move around. And I usually over tape everything.

Oh and there is nothing that bothers me more than receiving something and it not being pacakged well. I just bought an expensive Yamaha Rhino roof off ebay...when it got here 3 of the 4 corners were sticking out of the box...and there wasn't any packaging inside. I was pissed...I let it go since its going to be used offroad anyways and will get scratched up.

I have a paper shredder, and pack anything that's even remotely loose in my recycled junk mail. It's free, and I get a ton.

Some of the best packing material I have seen is shredded cardboard, I think WSM ships stuff in that, never received anything damaged from them thus far.

Save your money, just get a box that is approx 18" x 18" x 36"+. Hang it on the wall, cut a 3 sided slit (Square cut but only on the bottom and 2 sides). Use the flap as the door. Open up, let the peanuts (Ghost Poo) fall, close when done.

This is free.

nope- exhaust. there wont be a next time. fool me once...

anyone that wants peanuts let me know I just throw them away as everything I ship is large or heavy and would settle and not be protected. I saved that stuff for a long time in a garbage bag and then I had 2 and finally I just toss it now. If you want some I will save it up and send it to you for only the shipping I pay to send it.

I bought a 750sp motor, paid good money for it and even paid for shipping. it was just thrown in a box, all front cover bolts were screwed in hand tight. yep broke off and intake studs broke off or bent, motor plate bolts bent and 2 broken off. (i would have rather him not to even send the bolts.) so when i got this motor had to go over it and spend about 6 hours digging out broken off bolts. that was just a pain the butt!! what pisses me off more is i paid for ups shipping a it was shipped us mail and i had to go pick up the motor. so shipper made like 57 bucks on the shipping.

The jetski community is one of the most widely varied, next to the motorcycle crowd. Both ends of the bell curve are well represented.
