Super Jet Custom Superjet Pole

Currently fabricating an alluminum superjet pole anyone know the length of the fiberglass section of the stock rn pole? Also for those intrested in makeing a superjet pole at home and has a welder and basic power tools I'll be posting a write up on how to make one using the bottom and top aluminum brackets from the stock handle pole.

Yea, hate to break the bank on a pole, especially when I have the ability to just make one my self, and I'm trying to go as simple as humanly possible with this pole

Welding cast to bar or sheet aluminum might prove difficult because of different melting points for each of the metals. You might be best off bolting those parts together.

I have consider riveting or bolt it but due to cost and efficiency I have decided to weld it, so long as you keep the heat on the main part of the plate instead of the cast youd be fine

Not trying to hijack the thread, cuz i really want to see what you come up with but here is an option I am considering.
If you can locate a kawasaki 300sx pole it looks like almost a perfect fit for a RN. I had an old one that I disassembled down to the bare frame and looks like it would be an easy retro fit. the pivot width is almost identical and length is good as well. All that would be needed is a steering plate mount.
Not sure how available a 300sx pole is, but if you can find one it might be an option.
Maybe I'll give it a shot one day and post up the details.

I have finished the pole and it works great, never got around to taking pictures and writing up a thread but if theres interest I will post some pictures of the after product
