Cutting the front lip off a square

Update..
I began tearing down the ski. And thought to myself. I it's need this thing to float for another couple years or so. I was thinking to just grind the crack down and glass the outside and whole nose to save myself the trouble of pulling the foam, motor, and all that jazz.

I began sand and was thinking what if I cut off most of the lip but leave just a bit hanging down to make this easier. You can see the pictures below as a reference.

That will make it easier. But I don't suggest it in surf. You will get hit in the face with bow spray all the time. That lip is there for a reason.

Ever ride a rockered ski to your ride zone? It sucks. You get hit in the face the whole way.
