I am going to shorten the rear of one of my Blaster hulls. RIght now I am looking at a 2-3" trim. This hull needs to be reinforced anyway so I am just going to cut it 3" in since anything more than 4 gets into the pump bolts. Then I will have the transom and 3" of each side in my hands. Then I will reinforce the transom like normal and cut the 3" of hull down to 1/2 inch and add a flange to the inside of the hull for the 1/2 to overlap. From the outside it will be a but end connection. I will lay one piece of cloth on the outer seam and put a bunch of cloth on the inside from a hole in the deck. How much have others cut the rear down on Blaster? The rideplate bolts are going to be an issue. Might leave that part of the hull intact and have some rideplate sticking out D cut. This is theoretical right now. Might change my mind. Any other ideas?
