Cutting/welding a limited chamber to mod length

I have been unsuccessful in finding an SJ mod chamber.

I read somewhere but couldn't find the thread that I could cut down the limited ~1.5-2" to mod size. Anyone done this? I am not a welder so would likely take it somewhere - perhaps a muffler shop?? With it being a used pipe is there any concern that we won't be able to get a clean weld? Best way to clean the chamber to not contaminate weld? Anything else to consider before doing this?

Any fab shop can prep and tig it up for you.
Take it down to bare metal with a abrasive and wipe clean with acetone/gum cutter.
Once they cut it open they’ll obviously have to clean the oil/gunk out of it so it doesn’t pull through when welding but they’ll know that. I would most likely put some feelers out for trades on chambers but you won’t really hurt anything by having it cut and welded.
