SXR Cylinder bore 750 vs 800

Just wanted to know can a 750 cylinder be bored out to 82 mm to take stock 800 pistons? and is the porting different between cylinders? any info would be appreciated.

Yes you can bore it out to 82mm but your sleeve will be thinner now than a stock 800 risking top end failure. Yes porting is diff as well.

With the different porting are the pistons the same other than the bore?

I will have to do some research. I have complete 800 motor but cant find a cylinder that's why i'm considering using a 750 bored out.

i believe it's 83.00mm when you start pushing the sleeves. but you have to watch in the transfer ports, that where i've seen them crack.
