So this 2014 is glued to the water! So much so I'm getting sprayed in the face all the time from the nose wanting to dive. Should I D cut the plate or cut it flush with the back? This is what I'm thinking for a D cut.

I did both, just don't expect to be able to carve hard anymore, but it is way better low to mid speed, and it will turn sharper under a plane.

I ended up making another ride plate for the days I miss carving image.jpg

I cut 1" off the back then d cut so the bolt on the steering nozzle is exposed. I ride mostly flat lakes. It has been perfect for me. i started with just the d-cut and then took the inch off. For me going full flush would have been too much.
