Freestyle D-cut plate??

I think I understand the concept. My question, I've read in a few places that have led me to believe this mod is for 200lb and under riders. Any truth to this? I'm 250lbs... Thx

im 200-210. love my d-cut plate, wouldn't have it any other way

From what I understand the cut allows the back end to sit lower and provides better overall control? Is there any downside to the d-cut? Most of the riding I do is lake. Occasionally I like to go fast but mostly I focus on trying to learn a few basic tricks and cruising around.

My understanding... the D cut removes a good portion for a higher nose up, yes. But keeps the outer edges to keep some higher speed stability as well.

Ya D cutting the plate doesnt do anything for high speed stability and you really wont even notice it going fast and straight but when you are crusing slow and turning it allows the rear to drop a little lower when you want it to in order to "dig in" better.

Yeah my biggest concern was my weight. I read a few places on the net that said 200 or under. Maybe I'll grab a used plate to experiment with.

i didnt notice much difference going from a d cut from a flush cut in terms of top end. could plane out and run 50+ still with ease. The d cut seemed to really show in low end, pulling the nose up, and hard turns. ill never run a flush cut again on a superjet.

the difference i feel in a dcut versus a regular plate is with a dcut once u start a slide it is way more controllable...when u are doing a turn on a rail you cant tell the difference...
