Don't really want my ski to be slower....This issue was poor maintenance, not a problem with the parts.

SXR cylinders do crack like that. I saw a pic of one that litterally cracked all the way around. Top separated from the bottom.

Usually though when a dry pipe is used.

Yeah I was told the same, I have never seen one do that with a Wet Pipe. That just bad luck DJ

Welded it all back on and it got too hot and warped the inner cyllinder enough that the piston won't barely go back in....gotta do a new top end and bore it over one.

just can't win. you must of had someone tig weld it. spool gun when you need to use the least amout of heat.

I know that the aluminum had to be welded right where it actually touches the cyliner...he said it didn't get too hot, but it was enough to move it.

a piston kit and bore isn't the end of the world either.

i might still have a gurdle kit from my sxr, will look later. im unsure if i gave it with the ski or not
