***** SOLD******* For sale is a used Dasa 1000 engine. 10mm stroke X 89.5mm bore, set up to run on 91-93 octane (44cc domes). It came in our TC Freeride Rickter XFS when we bought it new in 2016. It is a great engine, has always been maintained well and runs great. It has plenty of power for multiple flips and tricks in a freestyle hull. The only reason we’re selling it is because we decided to upgrade to a 1200cc engine.

It comes with a Dasa intake & speed plate and V-Force 2 reeds. The cylinder has the 4 extra cylinder cooling lines option; they could be plugged if you don’t want to use them. I took the head & intake off for photos; they will be bolted back on finger tight only for shipment.

We only put about 20-25 hrs. a year on it, so we have Dasa freshen the engine up every other year (at about 40-50 hrs. run time).

I want to be perfectly clear, it’s time for the engine to be checked out and freshened up. Compression was still ok when we pulled it, but based on run time, scoring on piston skirts and eye balling the bore clearance it time for a re-fresh. The crank was rebuilt last time it was freshened up, but it’s always a good idea to have it checked too. FYI, Dasa told me for extra $700 they could re-sleeve it and turn it into an 1100cc engine very easily.

I was going to have it re-freshed before I sold it, but a couple weeks ago I started a post and asked whether people would rather buy an engine already re-freshed or buy it and refresh it themselves. Almost everyone that responded wanted to re-fresh it themselves to know it was done the way they wanted it done. Therefore I’m putting it up for sale AS IS.

New Dasa’s are about $6,000, almost $7,000 with the intake and reeds. I’m asking $3,600 and I’ll cover shipping it to the lower 48 states. (PayPal F&F or add the extra 3% fee.)
