Freestyle DASA 1100 EME AERIAL 8 Pro Series Build need help!

Hi there just wondering if anyone can help me out with my new build.

Currently have a 701 in a EME Aerial 8 pro series with msd enhancer, tdr water box, b pipe, ada head, 145mm skat magnum pump, 9-17 impeller, stock 38mm mikunis. Just purchased a new Dasa 1100 10 mill from Thrust.

Was wondering if i can run the engine with new oem flywheel, no total loss (just msd enhancer), no power factor pipe (just b pipe), and 145mm magnum pump with 13-19 impeller, novitech 48mm, dasa billet intake manifold, v force 2, pump gas, pro k filters. Just don't want to spend another 2500 dollars on pipe and total loss just yet. Will it run well?

Here are some picsSide.jpgSkis as it is today Engine.jpg701 current build Screenshot_2013-09-14-07-04-13.jpgNew Dasa 1100 10 mill from thrust on its way.

Nice Aerial!
Did you contact Brian or Chris at Thrust? I'm sure they could help you set up that dasa. But I hear you on the extra coin, its not just a engine upgrade its everything that goes with it. Subscribing cause I am curious to see what other say.

Thanks glad you like it. Spoke to brian he says it shouldn't be a problem but i just want to see what others think of the setup without total loss and pfp.

615 Freeriders are addicted to T1 madness.
It will not be a problem at all, BUT, I strongly recomend some heavy prt work to the B-pipe. Go out to at least 50mm between the headpipe and manifold and match the manofold to the cylinder.
It will hit super nice on bottom, will just run out alot sooner than with PFP.
Will not hurt anything and should hit nice on bottom.

We are just waking up over hear, it's 6am. Without the pfp and tl you'll leave some power on the table but there will still be plenty their for you to get used too. Iam still getting used to my 865 coming from a 701 so your going to be in for a surprise. :)

A light weight TBM flywheel would compliment your set up in the mean time, they weight 2 pounds, about half stock and will help compensate for your heavier rotating mass, they are $600 ish though. Food for thought

If you are not going TL , make sure you advance your static timing. It's free and makes a huge difference. For a freestyle or surf motor you can crank it up to the stop if you like. Part of the reason TL hits so hard is the massive initial advance, It isn't all about reducing the rotating mass. If you do that and open up the B pipe you will have a winner. Many 1200's are being run this way.

The best thing I can say is please refer to your engine builder Thrust Innovations on this topic. Also if your engine is still at the thrust shop, maybe buy a stator from them, have them install it and set up your static timing ?

Calling your engine builder is definitely the best advice. A lot depends on your squish, and compression etc. To advance the timing turn the stator plate counter clockwise ( opposite the direction of engine rotation) as you look at the front of the engine. Each millimeter you move the center arrow away from the “V” groove approximates a degree of timing advance. 3mm of advance is a good starting point for any surf or freestyle ski. I knew when I said crank it to the stop, mass chaos would ensue. Past about 5 you need to ride responsibly.
