Dasa 1100 or ET 1100

Both cost the same.

If the Et 1100 has 3 exhaust ports it would make more power correct?

Does the dasa just have the standard 62t port design with 5 intake ports and one exhaust port?

Or wild card the Et comp 10mm 900 with its like 10 cylinder ports.

Does dasa make a great comp motor?

I prob won't compete so I'm guessing 1100 is going to be more fun.

Since you through out the 900comp motor that raises your budget but have you considered the TPE1105. I absolutely love mine and have had compliments from owners of other 1100 and 1200 before. Not sure the sticker price on the TPE but from the list of motors that we have had shipped here locally, ALL of them have been great platforms with even better customer support and most importantly tuning specs to have you ready from break in.

I mean more info would be preferred lol. What do you ride now? Where do you ride, what is this going in. How long have you been riding. What color is your life jacket etc etc. obviously you've done some research cause you narrowed it down to 2 options lol

Tpe is cool too and an option but reading on here they have been slow to reply and slow to deliver.

Blowsion dasa is 20% off and is reliable ready to answer the phone when you have a question. I do not want a dasa if it's port design is of the 25 year old yamaha cylinder with a stroker crank and big piston.

Backie chan, 148 mag, total loss of some kind. Oh and most importantly 5000ft above sea level where an 850bb feels like a limited 701 at sea level.

Get an ET 1107 built by @holeshot. @SmittySX has had amazing luck with his and they're a lot cheaper than the TPE(over 1k less)
If you haven't checked with holeshot yet, his pricing on the 1107 may be less then what you can get a Dasa for.

I have ridden both of the motors mentioned in your op. But if you are already at a disadvantage because of elevation why not go with the one that makes the most power. In the long run it's cheaper to buy big power up front instead of buying and selling to upgrade later. It might be worth your time to contact tpe. I wouldn't be happy if I tossed down 5k and realized later that for a little bit more cash I could make a lot more power.

I had a chan with a 964 and was very pleased. Even with your elevation I'm sure they can make it work well but as said above get the most power if you can afford it. Alot of these motors all run the same or close to similar bolt ons so its really just the difference of price on shortblock.

Also, as far as contact from TPE I hear about it too but never have experienced it since day one. Maybe the timezone difference makes it work out perfectly lol. But as for the wait on the motor if you are taking the winter off that shouldn't hold you back if so. Not sure if you are or not but I learned (with my TPE too) not to be in a rush and make any bad decisions, it will cost you in the long run. Time and money, and trust me the time hurts way worse haha

a bigger motor is just gonna make you blow through your setup wake even worse than you are. Until you master the technique a bigger motor isn't gonna help. Especially with a chan IMO but what do I know I only ride surf and ride a surf specific boat

I have personally ridden most of the setups mentioned and they all have their merits and you are in safe hands with all of these manufacturers. Your setup to compliment your motor is key!

If you're interested in going Dasa, drop us an email sales@djrltd.com

Dasa 1100cc +10mm is one of our most popular setups so we have plenty of experience getting these setup correctly and we are always ready to answer your questions.

We are based in the UK but can ship direct from Dasa HQ to you, and we accept USD payments.

Good luck with the build!

This is one of our Dasa 1100cc setups in a fibreglass hull with OEM Yamaha ignition, they rip!

Look at a 2017 Polaris 800 snowmobile engine and how it's built then look at a 25 year old 62t.

Xscream 900rr and Et 900rr motors reflect the port design and performance of two strokes on the leading edge of performance. Why would you want to pay lots of money for a motor that doesn't take advantage of cylinder advancements. And running port designs made for Joe newbie to cruise his raider around the lake.

I'm not saying dasa or ET is old tech. I am saying I don't know. Obviously there are not to many pictures out there because manufacturers don't want to share secrets.

One reason why 3 exhaust ports is better than one is you could argue it's more reliable. You can only make that one hole so big before you will need a bridge to reduce piston wear.
