ive been wondering the same thing. I have 48 powerbombs, there is nothing where new bells have been pressed in. its like they chop the top off of the carbs.

Anders - i wouldn't drill holes to fit primer fittings. I think primers a $h!t. I take off both filters and block them to suck vacuum and fuel. While this may seem like trouble, i feel its the easiest way to get the ski primed, if it has been sitting for some time, instead of using a lot of battery power cranking (im running total loss ignition)
Other option is a redneck primer. With a syringe filled with gas and spray it in the filters or you can spray brake cleaner (this does not contain lubricant) or diesel start.

Cover one flame arrestor with a towel, shop rag or a plastic Dixie/Solo cup if you can find the right size. Crank ski over for a few seconds. Remove cover, crank ski over and she should fire right up. If not then your jetting is wrong.

A well-jetted ski should fire up in the morning without a choke or primer, but some get stubborn with worn reeds or carb internals. Get her dialed in as best as you can and forget the primer.

What do you do when you are in the middle of the lake and it will not fire or there was some water injestion?
Ive never had this issue.
Ive seen most primer plungers got bad after 2 years life anyway. You can always add something to "what would you do if" what if your bend grenades, what if you ignition coil craps out.
Hopefully most reasonable people never ride alone or if they do so, no further than they can swin to shore.
I really dont like the primers, thats my personal opinion, but i ride freestyle with a carbon no foam boat.

yeah there appears to be a little boss with an indent where it looks like somthing should or could go. Im just worried im going to be to low and drill into the venture fueling area.

I take a plastic bag over the air filters (holding it tight) one at a time and crank it a bit then kicks right over same as pulling filters and priming by hand better than a primer

What others have said, my skis pop off right away if I ride regularly but if they sit for a couple of weeks, I wrap my towel around the flame arrestor and crank it a couple times before I hit the lake.

I'm pretty sure the boss you are talking about is a internal line, I had a friend drill into a boss and exactly that happened! Investigate it or just put a nipple where you are sure there's nothing.
