dasa 8+mm 85 flattops squish/clearance?

I was putting my motor together last night and my pistons are tapping the dome's :( when torqued down. They do not hit when not torqued. The pistons do travel a few mm above the cylinder.Im using a stock base gasket.Do I need to get a thicker gasket or double gasket the base of the cylinders to achive the right clearance and squish? The dome's where supposed to be cut/set up for 85mm pistons and 8m stroke. My setup.
62t cases.
8mm crank.
dasa pv cast cylinder
85mm riva flat tops.
oem base gasket.
ada head .

Not really the best way to acheave the correct squish, but give it a shot,, may want to put some sealer between the two gaskets. But I would just do this to see where your squish is. (should be around .040, at least for domed pistons, think flat top works out the same), then order the correct gasket.

I just had to put in a .040 gasket in mine to acheive propper squish as well.

ROTATION

Why must I build it??????

Get the supplier to give you the port heights from piston bdc, setup cylinder with as many gaskets you need or cut piston to get that right, then cut domes if necessary

I may have a .040 gasket.I know while building other motors you can double the gasket(using sealer between)to adjust port timing and such so i dont know why it would be diff.Ill give it a shot and see whats up.Where is the best place to order the gasket's from..??

with a .040 gasket the pistons clear my domes and my squish is at .060
sound ok or is that a little to much?
At bdc this is where it sets.
With a .020 base gasket the piston hits the dome's.

If that's the squish with an .040 base gasket, then the squish should be .040 with the stock gasket(.020). Not sure why it wouldn't be. Who did the machine work on the motor?

Well after calling everyone i knew I found the problem..the motor calls for 85mm kawi flat tops with small pin. After calling riva :~ and r@d I found out the the riva pistons that is an r@d piston wich is a wiseco piston cut for r@d and sold by both r@d and riva are not the same as wiseco sold pistons.
The r@d pistons are alittle over 1.2mm taller than the wiseco's.
daaaymiitttt...
Good news is that wiseco will be in stock next week.
