I am SO over having sound systems at Freerides. And what is this trend that is starting with blending freerides & racing? I guess it's kinda like jumbo shrimp.

I don't really care to mix with the racers - as we tend to do our own thing, and I wouldn't want to be in their way. If the best break is in the middle of their course...

I don't mind the sound system - if it just played music. And some Neil Diamond remake about illegal aliens. It was kinda funny the first time...after that...old.

I raced with team sport for a couple of years great guys
It would be cool to race and free ride in the same weekend.Not sure if I still have it in me.:kabong:
A surf race will bring riders out of the wood work
People have been wanting another surf race for the last 5 yrs or so

I say we hook up and camp 1/4 mile or so down the beach so we dont get in there way.If we think space is a issue
New peps to hang with that ski how can that be bad??

Ditto. Yea I know we dont have rules... cept no one gets hurt.

Does Port A allow pit bikes? Or has this been covered?

Well the place where where we race is actually pretty close to Port-A and I talked to Tim, (the promoter) and he said if we where to join the events he would keep his sound system out the whole time so the freeriders can use it too, there would be insurance available for for $5-$10ish you could get on with the racers insurance (which wouldn't be a bad idea if you plan on doing something stupid). Plus the Race will be offshore endurance style lasting an hour and a half so it wouldn't take up the whole day or anything.

I think that is a GREAT idea.

None of my Denton crew has voted in the poll because our dates are flexible. We are planning on attending.

I'd actually rather not have tunes not of my choice blasted at me. I'd be fine with sharing a weekend with racers as long as we kind of separated it a bit like Larry suggested.

As far as closing the poll, I just somewhat randomly picked a month, then set the poll to close after that. So, that means if we go with the majority of votes, we're set on last weekend in April 23, 24, and 25. Try to re-arrange if you can, Mick. We want everybody to come that possibly can.

Their race is only like an hour and a half. If they are in the way, it won't be for long.
