I have almost all stock sj. I was trying to get flat water 180 and was only pulling 90s. I'm trying to get some surf 180s landed but no success today. I have plenty of height even off small waves. I need to crank the bars harder and spot the landind earlier. I know it's a simple trick for most of you but this is only my second time in clean surf. I'd like to get a clean 180 in before I leave Sunday. Also trying to make some slashes that look pretty and ride out of one with no hands.

Lean forward as you crest the wave and crank the bars hard and pin it. Leaning forward will loosen the back of the ski and allow it to rotate more quickly. Shifting your weight forward will also position your body toward the middle of the ski and help you keep good balance and form no matter how much rotation the ski makes which will help your balance while landing... If that makes sense.

Completely. I think it's making it harder because I am almost 6ft with a stock pole. My issue is very commitment related. I hesitate coming off the wake because I have a natural tendency to want to look at the ski instead of rotating my body and spotting the landing. I do need to get my weight forward. That's good advice. I also need to turn the bars to the stops I think, but weight forward would probably help the most. Maybe a tad more momentum and a lot more commitment. I know I can do it with set up. Thanks for the advice. Going to try again in the morning.
