There was definitely some double overhead action going on out there. About a third of the waves were just freakin huge. The rest were still far bigger than a normal day.

I saw it this morning around 8:30. I almost started to cry. I had family stuff to do today,

we were bummed you couldnt be out there with us. hopefully it will hold till tomorrow for you.

even if it drops half in size you'll have fun.

What Scott isnt telling is that the surf was even bigger earlier but no one would give up riding time to take pics. Still got a couple of good shots. There were surfers all in the zone all day. I think they were envious because they couldnt get to the outside fast eough to get the real good waves. All they could do is watch with jet ski envy. I rode by within three or four feet of them while carving the face of waves all day and saw sad looks on their faces. For a minute I almost felt bad for them. Not Really. What A great day at the beach.

Scott I forgot to thank you for taking those pics of me nearly drowning. I am sure you just knew I didnt need any help or anything. While I was getting smashed by the whitewater you could at least stopped filming me and take a couple shots of some beach babes and get some good use of the film and not waste it on some old guy swimming in a full face helmet and tennis shoes.

I got worried...couldn't see him for a while....could see the ski crashing around...then I finally saw him bobbing around! :shocked: figured he would have come in after that tough swim...nope...went back out for more!!! :bananapowerslide::skull2:

Hey Scott nice photo illistration. I think on the next big day I will ride with two ski jackets so If I get smashed under six foot of whitewater then I will pop up faster and you can get better photos of the swim sequence. Just kidding thanks for the photos. I took one Million photos of other people riding and this is the first time in three years of me riding a stand up that I got to see myself on film. Surf riding is the greatest hobby ever.
