From what I've read, dogs aren't allowed on Daytona Beach? Is this 'law' heavily enforced?

They were after us last year when i brought my tiny dog. There was this one dick head Beach Patrol guy who literally looked for my girlfriend who was easy to spot with a full sleeve tattoo and he would come up to my girlfriend looking for my dog it was borderline harassment
