I will be bringing my 400lb portable scale to Daytona if anyone is interested. I had it at the Haiti freeride and it was a big hit so i plan to drag it with me to all major events now. Anyone is more than welcome to use it, all i ask is that it doesn't get drug through the sand and salt.

Bring a camera and snap a pick for posterity but it pays to establish a standard. I weighed mine when it was new but I forget how much fuel was in it, etc, etc. I say either drain the tank or ride it till empty or top it off and gather a RTR, (ready to ride) weight. Anything in between is guessing.

I weighed mine right after building it and then again a few weeks ago after I changed my footholds for the third time and found I actually lost a couple pounds.

What do you think is a better weight for comparisons, dry or ready to ride?

Would be cool to know what my ski weighs these days. I've never lost weight on my ski's over time. Fresh hull with fresh turf, paint, and bone dry has always been the lightest mine have ever been. Must be all the residue from fuel and exhaust leaks adding to the weight. :laugh2:

hahaha good idea riderski weights. lets see how many people "cancel" out their light weight hulls

HAHA, I had a buddy back in Canada that would always brag about dropping 50lbs off his snowmobile when he was clearly 100lbs overweight.

Lets do this "Biggest Loser' style then. My Matrix is 350 RTR and I am 195 so my ski to weigth ratio is 55.7%

Derp, my ski is going to lose 80+lbs. I can't keep up with that. In fact, since I quit smoking a month ago, I gained 10lbs. :crying:
Now I'm working out like crazy.

you got a bet...
mines a tank after re-enforcing. still seems dry though.

we should make this interesting and dig up some "prizes" for lightest and heaviest skis...
