FAQ's

Where do I register my skis and is there a fee?

  • The riding area is at the Cardinal Beach Approach in Ormond Beach Fl, extending south.
  • All skis must be registered with the beach patrol prior to entering the water.
  • The fee is 25$ and will be paid to the Beach Patrol Officers. There should be a couple officers on duty at the zone at all times.

Will there be vendors selling products?

  • Yes, they will be vending from 10am-5pm directly behind the Makai Beach Lodge

Is there trailer parking available?

  • Yes, the people at the hotel will show you where you can park legally (may be a small fee)
  • Do not park your trailer in the hotel parking

What kind of riding gear do I need?

  • All applicable items that the law requires along
  • You will need a helmet also. I recommend a BMX/MTB helmet due to the light weight and it will not absorb water like a MX helmet will.
  • Please have tow loops on the front and back of your ski.

What is not allowed on the beach?

  • No glass bottles
  • no alcohol
  • please tread lightly on any vegetation in between the poles on the beach and the sea wall. That area is called the Conservation Zone and needs to be respected.

How do I refuel my ski on the beach?

  • Skis must be 20ft from the high water level to refuel.
  • Do not try refuel with the ski in the water.
  • Keep fuel jugs up away from the water at all times.

Where are the sponsored party's?

  • Friday- Beach House Party 9pm / 345 South A1A Daytona Beach Fl (yellow house next to two vacant lots
  • Saturday - RAZZLES NIGHTCLUB at 9pm / 611 Seabreeze Blvd Daytona Beach Fl

Any form of transportation to and from Razzles Nightclub?

  • yes, we will have vans running back and forth... cost will be arounds 4$ per person

How do I register for the Invitational Motosurf race?

  • See Boober or Mike Young Saturday. They will be Emceeing all day

How do I register for the Cherry Buster or Sickest Trick?

  • Go to the raffle staging area and see Sara. She will be selling tickets and we will put you on the list

Do the Reg. #s have to be on the hull or can they be on the handpole? Also, if I have a custom hull registered as a 1990 superjet will I get bounced (assuming everything is legit, HIN and registration)?

the zone is from cardinal beach approach (just north of the driftwood, right?) then south.

it extends 4000 feet south.

nick, could you tell us which beach approach will be at the south end of the zone and what motels are in that 4000 span, besides the driftwood, makai, and coral beach?

if the ski did not come w/ a lanyard than it doesn't need one to be legal.
