I have never looked up the RRP spring instalation instructions either so maybe we are all missing something. I tried a Blowsion spring and a stocker and found the stocker to work best.

If they sell the spring mount, then what spring was meant to be in there with it? What spring was the hole designed around? I had a spring from an sxr, SN SJ and a RN and the RN fit the best so I went with it.

I spent 4 hrs on the spring alone when I installed my first RRP pole but have it to down to about 20 mins now. Mark, heat, bend and it falls right into place and the pole is perfectly balanced and weightless. If you place a stock spring next to a blowsion spring, you can see the difference in the long arm angle is about 45°. Ideal tension for the RRP is right in the middle of the two so relax the blowsion spring arm by 22.5° or tension the stock spring arm by 22.5°.

Good question and glad to see you have it down to 20 min.l don't want to ever do another one!

Are you guys talking about throwing a spring in a cast or billet RRP pole? I just tightened the sh|t out of my billet pole and its perfect.. I dabbled with the spring for a little bit but decidied against it since the billet pole was able to be cranked down to where its tight and stops in all range of motion. I think the cast pole you cant do that without fear of actually bending the pole itself..
