Can anybody else only do a side start on their b1 on the left side? Mine dies when when I try it from the right?

If your doing it from the right. It's possible you're getting water in your carbs
Hmm good point it does seem to get a fair bit or water in, even though iv fitted a surf seal

if your gonna ride surf , use a scupper of some type , versaplug , or what I use is a CHEAP J-drain http://www.jdaent.com/j-drain-boat-drain-kits.html and have been using them for 4 years now no issues ... hull is always dry EDIT my bilge pump is a backup
Thanks il check that out, I have a mate that uses the duckbill one and his hull is always dry, iv never found these at a reasonable price until looking at your link, thanks, do I know what size these are? Cheers

I use the versiplugs that just screw in to the plug holder. Seem to work well, also run a bilge as a backup.
