Super Jet Defoaming is the worst

the only thing i dont like about the bottles is that a cap can eventually come off. probably wouldnt but it would eat at my mind all the time that it could and i never want to be back in the tray area again.

And a ping pong ball can't pop/crack? You could put a dab of CA glue on each cap before screwing it on. It won't ever move that way.

I'm using dock foam from a lake, that stuff is tough. I got a huge free block of it in Arkansas. Alot of lakes require foam these days to be encapsulated so the open block foam can be had for cheap or free for the taking. I was going to go the ping pong ball or plastic bottle route but I wanted more support for my tray since I ride gulf surf and the ICW only. I've seen boats in peoples yards sitting on small stacked blocks of dock foam, it takes some effort to even cut it with a hand saw. I got a used block and cut it down about 3 inches and it's brand new foam under there.

Not the ones he bought....they are like industrial ping pong balls. You cant crush them even by stepping on them...Smurf, please elaborate.

Amen on the plugs, that's my next step. I'm doing my rib grinding now and I find it aggravating. I've been out of the loop for a year so even small tasks seem tough at times, but I'm getting up to speed again. I don't think it would be very bad in the winter time, but it's HOT out in the garage and can only work till around noon-ish.

the beer pong balls are very tuff. i was shocked at how stronk they were. you will not pop one or crack them. i dont doubt that platic bottles would work, but the cap is a mechanical joint sort of speak and it can failand come off and a glue or sealant can also deteriorate over time. i felt that an uncrushable ping pong ball was the best way to do it and know for FACT that nothing was absorbing water. im not lookin to debate it cuz there are a lot of great ideas out and there are also some seriously bad ideas and in my opinion my way was the best so far.

If there is water in my Trinity at the end of the season, I'm doing the Smurf method for sure....dual plugs and industrial balls. NO FOAM.

Defaoming is great, dealing with epoxy and glass rework is the "new" worst!! Bi-ax is some thirsty cloth. I itch pretty good even with a generous dose of gold bond, shower to shower, or whatever I find in the medicine cabinet prior to working. I had some of that stuff called bag balm laying around, it helps out with after glass grinding itch after a shower.
