Don't buy generic batteries!! They just list the same specs but they aren't. Made that mistake a couple years ago. Ended up with a battery that was 2 lbs heavier than the advertised 8lbs and it cranked my engine slow as dirt.

Get the real deal.

65 bucks for battery which included two year warranty from Posey Batteries in Tampa...they give you an extra year warranty free...That's another reason I would not buy them online (returns/warranty).

That is what i was thinking (except prices have been creeping up).

I run these in surf and flatwater skis without problems. It is just smart to have a backup battery with you no matter which battery or electrical system you use.

$65!?! That is all mine cost new! It's two years old now, never been on a charger, and still cranks like new.

Anything with high compression that is harder to turn over will wear them out quick if you ever gulp water. I have had one leave me stranded a few times.

I'm back to a 16 and don't worry about the extra couple pounds. I'd rather be able to drive back to the ramp under my own power.

I ran the etx9 and liked it but with dual bilges and a ski that needs primer to start i can kill the battery pretty fast, Made a mistake and used it in surf killed the battery. Now i have the etx12 and like it a lot .. A little heavier but i feel a little better.
