dented tnt

This is the tnt I got off ebay last week. It was described as...
"This pipe is used but in very good condition."
Very good condition? None of the tnt pipes I've seen are dented.
Also, one of the screws the seller said was seized, is also snapped off.

Try to get the seller to refund you some money over that.
If that doesn't work (And if f'n should, as much as you paid for THAT!!!!!), file a claim with Paypal (if that's how you paid). Item is significantly not as described.
Get on his ass.

Like I told you yesterday, it's dented on the inside to clear the engine and on the outside to clear the hull. Those are pretty common dents, you could even see the inside one on the Ebay pictures.

I don't see the dents in the other tnt pipes that are pictured on here. The pic on ebay isn't that clear, its obvious to me now that it is a dent. I believe the seller should have stated its dented in two locations.

I would be upset over not being told that. (Mostly, I'd be upset over having paid that money for it!)

If you are feeling sick about it, then get some money back!

It should have been stated, and bull******** photos do not cut it.

It's not going to effect the functionality of the pipe, but it is not a $1K+ pipe in that condition.

Well the picture that Stanford posted is of one my old TNT chambers, and it is definitely dented in the same 2 places that yours is (granted, the dent on the outside is a much cleaner dent than yours). As for pictures of chambers that are on skis... you can't see the dents when the pipe is mounted

I'd be pissed about a broken screw, but the dents are completely functional.

This pipe is meant to be installed and run, not looked at on a shelf. So, if you want that chamber in your hull, you would need to make it fit like Mile9c1 said. I know it sucks - especially for how much you paid for it. Bottom line, it was wrong seller didn't mention it in ad no matter what was required to make it fit. Didn't the ad say the headpipe screws were free? (not frozen).

This sucks cuz I remember how psyched you were about winning it.

Mike, thats Sanford without a "t". Sokay, I get that all the time :banghead:

I just received this email from the seller:

"I'm sorry to hear that you we're in 'shock' to see
the two dents in this pipe
however, that is the only way to get this pipe to
fit when mounted. These
first few TNT pipes were hand made and had to be
form fitted to clear the hull
which explains these dents. Aesthetically they
might not be that appealing but
that's how they were made. There is no reduction
in performance.

I understand you spent your hard earned money on
this pipe and want it to be
perfect so I would like to settle this so you can
be happy.

I stated in its description that this pipe is used
but in very good condition
and I firmly believe that to be true. Yes it has
dents in which one of them
you can clearly see from its picture on ebay and
the other is underneath
where it would be hidden when mounted. As for
the head pipe screw broken off....
I stated in its description that the top & bottom
screws work which I assumed
that would mean that the other does not, but I am
willing to comprimise and
refund you $100 to get that screw drilled out.

You might think that I'm out to rip you off but I
want you to understand that
I had a TNT pipe and I wanted to sell it on ebay.
I listed it and had an
overwhelming response from it. I had many people
offering up alot of money for
it and wanting me to end my auction early if I
would sell it to them however, I
always felt that once people started bidding on it
that it was only fair to
let the auction go to its end and pulling it would
be unethical. In the end I
wanted to be fair and let whoever won the auction
get this pipe. I hope you
do not blame me for the price that it demanded.
If your mad at the amount of
money you spent on it then there is nothing I can
do about that except say you
should have not bid on it.

We spent weeks and days developing that pipe and
to be honest that pipe is
worth twice that in my opinion. All the days
designing pipes, going to the
water and testing, tearing motors in & out,
getting everything right for that pipe
to work is really invaluable and you cannot put a
price on it. If you were
expecting a pipe layered in gold and brand new
then maybe should have gone and
bought a brand new pipe.

As for how you don't understand my 100% positive
rating. That's up to you
and if you feel obligated to speak for everyone
who has had nothing but high
remarks for my products then go right ahead. Your
my first complaint I've ever
had which I do feel bad about but if you want to
assume I'm out to rip you off
then there's really nothing I can do about it.
You can go to as many message
boards as you like and discuss this which I
encourage you to do as you will
probably get more opinions on this. Feel free to
post this response onto the
message board as well.

Again I'm sorry you feel dissapointed about this
pipe and I am willing to
refund you $100 to get that head pipe drilled out
and fixed to resolve this
matter."

I don't think he was out to get over on someone but he would have said all that in his add he would have saved someone the shock factor at least and he would be 100 dollars richer.

Andrew, sorry to hear about the pipe. I guess its cool the guy is willing to give out some cash. I hope you get this all worked out, and hope you get your ski ready to go. That way when you show me up, I can blame it on the fact that you have a SJ, and me only a 550....

:haha: Nice avatar...de ja vu
Nick, I'll get this pipe thing taken care of. If I'm runnin by memorial weekend life will be good. Too bad I brought my boat home today which is a full-time job itself. The ski definately gets top priority though.
