Thats what I found with a order I just recieved from a used parts dealer. I wanted to ask you guys what you thought first.

I bought a very very slightly used SXR crank for my motor and the bearings and everything feel very nice but as I was checking it over one of the webs has some nice marks on it and a hefty dent on its edge... It had to of been dropped. My first thoughts are this crank is no good b.c of that. Possibly throw it off balance but out of tolerence for a round-out test. Its going in a limited race boat, so it not gonna have a easy life.

Second, the carbs I got from them were suppost to be in nice shape and they look it but as soon as I tried moving the butterflies one carb is somewhat stiff and then other is worst. Defintly not free-moving as should. Do these things gum up or warp outta wack sometimes, b/c ive seen some crusty carbs and they still seems to at least have moving butterflies.

oh, sorry

I had a hydrolocked crank, then seized pistons and stuck once that I picked up from a no-longer-member here ( thank god ) and they could not get the pistons out so they hit the crank with a hammer to knock it out, and as we then found out it had some damage and engine must have been full of water when they tried starting it which apperently bent the crank.

Unknown to all of this the crank was installed and once the flywheel was on it started scratching on the stator pick ups and only on each second rotation, the crank basicaly was not spinning in a circle it was an egg spin....

Why dont you send it in and have someone check it out ? crankworks ??

Ah, i might just send it back to the buisness i bought it from. Spring is here and I dont really have time to fool around with this stuff... I might just get a new crank and be done with it. As for the carbs... im not really sure what im gonna do there either.
