Design For Jet Ski Hitch Hauler - What are your thoughts?

Hello all,
I am designing a new hauler for my SuperJet. I built one about a year ago out of steel with the option to tilt down but I found the tilt to be a good idea on paper but i found the option useless once t was built.

Here is a pic of my new design, my Thoughts are to use 2" square aluminum tubing with 1/8" or 3/16" wall.
The design requires only about 8' of tubing. It also uses wooden, carpeted, bunks.
(The carpeted bunks will also help reduce sliding.)
I am using wooden bunks for 2 reasons, keep aluminum cost down and so that if I wanted to I could remove the bunks and use additional attachments.

Let me know what you guys think, looking for any ideas or thoughts, positive or negative.
If anyone likes them I can probably make a few at a reasonable price - will determine cost after prototype is built and tested.

Thanks all,
Andre

Update - I have added a bow stop - this did add 44" of tubing.
Also added picture of design with bow stop.

Update - I have added a four view shot of what I think will be my final product.

Although not shown before, I planned on drilling holes for ratchet tie downs. (Although, I am comfortable with my knots so I use rope, Ive had toomany problems with the ratchet or pull tight tie downs.)

why not make it where is comes off and add wheels and now its a beach cart too as an option . i also would add and fixed point tidown to the rear that removes with a quick pin to it locked down solid

LOL I typed it, then deleted it because I couldn't come up with a good way to get it in and out of the reciever.

Creative RE Purchasing
That guy named Fuzzy has a hitch hauler that converts to a beach cart. The pismo people should know who I am talking about.

His hitch hauler uses one of the three point receiver hitches. No chance of rocking with that puppy.

I just built a steel one this summer for my SX. I used 3' of 2" hitch stock-made for trailer hitches- and TIG'd 2 2"x3"x4' thin wall rails on the top with turf for the padding. I then used some 3/8" round stock and bent them and attached them on the bottom side of the rails and under the hitch tube. I am able to use these for hooking my tiedowns at the tube. I then used a peice of reciever end piece to make it possible to tow my boat or another ski trailer behind it. Works awesome. I have used it MANY times this season. Ill get a pic if needed when I get home tonight.

I have been attempting to design the beach cart/hitch hauler for over a month now.
1. The wheels have to be removed or able to 'flip up' or ‘flip away’

2. The axle(s) will interfere with vehicle clearance.

3. I have found no good method of transferring the weight of the ski from vehicle to ‘cart’

I have also been working on a spot for a beach cart to attach to the hauler.

1. If carried behind the ski, the hauler would be required to protrude approx 50” (too long)

2. If carried above the ski, large wheels impair site.

If any of you have suggestions or solutions, I will gladly listen.

Thank you all for your help,
Andre
