I will never have anything shipped by them again. I have something shipped to me on tuesday overnight and it got here thursday at 3pm. First they told me it when on a truck instead of a plane and then they told me that they don't guarantee overnight to my area. I am 20 minutes from there hub, do you have to be across the street for them to guarantee it? :soapbox:

One of my suppliers started using DHL,I called them because I did not receive my package ,they said it was shipped and to contact DHL,I contacted DHL and got some BS excuse and was told to come to the office and pick up the package.I told them I lived 40 miles away from their office and to get off their ass and bring me my package and I mean right now by GOD.A guy shows up the next day driving a white car and drops off my package.DHL no longer ships anything of mine.:grumble::bandit:

Yep, DHL sux. The company I work for decided a couple of years ago to change over to DHL. Big mistake, the drivers had attitudes, shipments were routinely late or lost. Needless to say we switched back to UPS and FedEx and life returned to normal. DHL will be my last resort..:loser:

wow I love this game!!!
DHL Sucks and expensive

I have also problems every time when I got stuff shipped from USA with DHL or UPS to Germany. I must pick up my package always at the airport and pay much customs fee on the shipping price even if is not on the invoice. :rocketwhore:

I did have much nice experience with USPS Priority Mail and they are not so expensive!!! :usa2:

In around March 2005 I "was given" two baby box turtles from a pet breeder in Flordia if I paid the shipping. The shipping was $80 shipped next day or over night. Not sure what it was but the package was supposed to be there the next day. They can't sell the turtles since they are native to both Flordia and West Virginia when I lived back home in WV. Well they claimed they had a special contract to ship live animals through DHL.

Needless to say the pakage didn't arive the next day but a day after that. Basically two day shipping when I paid for over night. If the package was at the hub about 40 min away I was going to drive and pick them up. Nope it went to a town 2 hours away to that hub. It was March and a little chilly. Those two turtlse spent a night in a cold warehouse.

One baby turtle bit the dust, the other lived. If they were both alive, I would have just said ok, I got them. I filed a claim with DHL but it was denied because the "sender" must file the claim. The pet shop/breeder claimed they had a $100 clause payout with DHL if an animal died. Well I couldn't get DHL or the pet shop to give me any cash back. The pet shop claimed they would give me an $80 credit. WTF good would that do when the last pet died in transit? I filed a claim with my credit card and got the money back. I figured they should stick it to DHL and get $100 back, and also the $80 too. I did get one live turtle. I think DHL would just give teh pet shop "credit" and they didn't want to give me any cash because they must not ship a lot to get the credit back.

Brwon isn't much btter in my book. The one near me is disorganized and slow when I ship. I have had packages damaged by them. Lately their prices seem too high. Only good thing about brown is they insure up to $100 for no extra cost. (It is probably figured in there somewhere!)

Anymore for the last 5 years, I have used the US Post Office. Priority Mail is a greta deal for small to medium stuff. Never had a package lost yet.. knock on wood... Also I have shipped all international orders through them. Only had one person complain about the customs fees.

One thing you need to do to save money shipping is to buddy up with the people working at the shippers. If you get an A$$ hole who measures all the boxes, it will screw you! They will charge you a heavier "billable" weight since the package is oversized.

has nothing to do with the people at the shippers. UPS assigns a weight based on the size of a box - even if the box weighs less...and that's how they determine the shipping cost. It's called "dimensional weight"

for ground shipping, I use FEDEX ground. Not near as convenient as UPS, but they are cheaper, and I've not had any complaints yet.

Yeah if the don't measure the box when it is a big box, the people working there will save you a buck. That is what I ment. You are tight about the dimensional weight. An X2 seat cost like 37 bucks to ship! They billed me for 40 pounds when it only weighed 15 because ofthe box size. There used to be a lady at the Post Office who would measure everything. UPS is now measuring everything on me. Must be their software now.

Wow, I have had absolutely no trouble with DHL at all in my area. Everyone I have shipped to has been completely satisfied with how fast their item got there and the prices have been pretty modest.

I have shipped streetbike motors for only $75 through them...UPS would have charged me over $200 for the same thing with the same amount of insurance.
