The scissor stands are the worst part. They do the most damage. I have never beeched my ski or road in the ocean and the bottom of my skis look like they went for a drive down the highway

Best thing to use is 3 inch PVC - take a 1 inch hole saw and bore a hole in one side of the PVC every 2 ft ( straight line). Then below the hole you just bored drill a 3/8 hole for the bolt to secure the pipe to whatever you are bolting it to. Once you have the pipe bolted down cut and glue marine carpet to the top two thirds of the PVC pipe. This works great and is guaranteed not to damage the bottom of your hull.

Thats an awesome idea!

I use the rubber bumper that you see on docks.
Drill a hole every foot in the top of it, use a stainless screw and washer to fasten it to the 2x4. Cut off the excess material. Some aluminum angle iron to keep the 2x4's vertical and your done.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1364344277.184035.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1364344293.166209.jpg

i have not done this so im not sure if it works but my buddy loves its

My buddy changed out his triton trailer bonks from the wood to trex decking, iv seen his rxp X's underside and it looks flawless.

He has also put carpet on trex seeing that they will never rot, but on his trailer they are bare, I'm not sure if he rounded them off with a dermal tool or if he bought them rounded.

what about angle iron and door molding. angle to connect it to the trailer and then reset screws through brick molding. its plastic and available at all lumber yards comes 8 ft length. havent tried it yet but i have a double trailer that needs attention.

Bare aluminum will mark a surface just like a pencil. Any bunk must be covered with something soft for transport. Even bare plastic will eat up the bottom very quickly.

IMG_0375[1].jpgTrailer got finished from the factory but i am heading to china for a month or more tomorrow so i will have to wait to finish my bunks when i get home. I am not sure what idea i am going with I really appreciate all the help on this matter. Im sure we will figure out the best way soon!
