Surfriding different types of repaired noses

So at the pismo freeride i came down a little steep from a backflip and broke the nose rail of my ski. i wondering if anyone has tried a different style for their nose and how they like it. i want to try something different but the saying if it aint broke dont fix keeps coming up. well i am broken and dont know if i should stay with the original rail or suck it up and try some thing new.

let me know your thoughts

It's easier to just finish tearing it off (bond line) and rebuild the basic hull shape with a bit more rocker, from both exterior and interior with 1708 and epoxy ,then make the decision of face shots or no face shots with the bond line.

I vote to keep the bond rail on surf skis. maybe move it up higher or cut off some of the overhanging lip part.
But, next time you smash the nose, it will be nice to only break off a bond rail, not smash a smoothed over nose w/o a bond rail.....

dump the bond rail and lay some serious reinforcement in and out. ive stuff my nose in the ground many times very hard and it will hold up.
