Disappointed with Factory Pipe

Yes RIVA marks these up but they are hardly making any money. I'm not calling them because it has nothing to do with them, it was clearly damaged by Factory and because they don't have a dealer program how could you hold RIVA responsible for handling the problem. Again it's a cheap part that I can easily replace and money has nothing to do with it. The problem is Factory pipes attitude. I figured I'll just call them and have them send out a replacement $5 part and we'll be good to go but they would rather cop an attitude and have horrible customer service. I'm just shocked. When one of my customers has a problem I bend over backwards. I'll be ordering a NYNJA pipe next time.

Powerfactor manifolds are made by factory pipe.
RRP manifolds are made by factory pipe.
Both pipes have been on backorder all season because of backordered manfolds....we are still stuck with factory pipe lack of service.

I have always pictured Factory to be like Wiseco. A small old shop with tired old (rightfully so) workers with no passion and zero interest in service. (I have been in the shop several times)

As we get older the names we know do too!

We should email this link to her maybe she will have something to say
I had the same thought. Social media is a powerful tool these days. Doesn't sound like they'd care much but might be with a shot. Put them on blast everywhere for a good while.

Her name is Cindy and I really doubt she cares.

We tried that a few years ago on PWCT (like I said this is nothing new) All that accomplished was Cindy started asking if you were a Jet Ski forum member when placing an order.

Baxt3r and Jetfiend are exactly right. The entire reason they conduct business the way they do is because they know we have no choice. They own the market and that's not likely to change. The sport isn't big enough for a new pipe manufacturer to start making a competitive product so they can do and act however they like. We need pipes, so we have to deal with them. Sad but true.

cindy is mean on the phone but she is fairly nice in person. i know cause i usually just stop in there when i need something. i'm sure i know why she is mean on the phone. the same reason i'm mean on the phone. we both deal with a lot of idiots. mean or not, we still sell.

Wasn't there an article or something about them expanding their production plant or something along those lines a couple years ago?
yea, it was in the press democrat. they bought the old masonite lumber mill site. i havent stopped there for quite some time to see if they moved yet. i just go a few more exits to coffmans, to the nice poeple.
