I wash my cylinders in the sink under hot water and soap to clean them.
I could try the dishwasher, but it would have to be an opportune moment without the wife home.

1/2 of the reason I wash them in the dishwasher is to watch my wife go crazy. She will hear the dishwasher running and ask me if I am really doing dishes and then sees a sink full of dirty dishes, opens the dishwasher and then the fireworks begin! I love a good reaction. LMAO

As for Art, no. The dishwasher is some crap I came up with all on my own! It works great for MX bike parts as well!!!

As for here we go, there is no reason to hone ts cylinders because if you honed them the compression might accidentally drop below the desired 300psi it takes to get them to make any real power. LMAO jk

If you want some real action from the WU, use the home oven the next time you need to replace a sleeve.
Boy, can that be fun.

Been there and done that, she only complained because I had them on a cookie sheet. lol

Yup, done that. :bigok:
In retrospect, I should have done a better job removing the oil from the cylinders before sticking them in the oven.

Funniest thread of the month!! I think it look's bad azz! I wish I could put that kind of finish on some of my external parts. Just ball hone it out. Or glaze breaker hone, neither one really remove much material, only surface marks.

Yes, brick in the washing machine is awesome!

It could be worse, I tried out the dishwasher in the rental I'm in now and everything came out looking like glazed donuts. I'd have been super pizzed if it were my snowmobile clutches or something else I care about.

I use a DW in the shop to wash parts all the time, but really need some a couple pounds of ZEP to do the degreasing better. (If anyone can sell me a couple LMK)

If you wash your dishes in the same dishwasher, then I certainly hope you don't drink bottled water.lol.

However, rather than butter, oil, or margerine, I prefer to grease my skillet with a little WD-40 prior to frying my eggs.
