I don't see ANYBODY riding a standard SJ.
Either your stock or your not. Everybody knows stock superjets are slow slow slow slow slow. and you can't do chit on them...

Okay, let's stick to stock hull then. :fingersx:

I ride both, usually if I'm lake/river riding I'll take the sxr, gulfcoast surf bound I ride the SJ. I think for lakes/smooth water the sxr carves and handles a lot better than the SJ. With its added weight I find it a lot easier to submarine and do fountains as well. I just keep the SJ for surf riding; although I have seen plenty of guys tearing waves up on sxr's in the gulf better than I can on my SJ. Ride what you love and love what you ride. :beerchug:

i want to see a sxr slash. i dont ever remember seeing it.
as far as im concerned if you cant do that VVV its useless!

I can slash both a SJ and a SXR
I give the SJ the edge in flatwater....I like the SXR better in the surf.

An 08 SJ is probably the best of both worlds.

I tend to agree, based on my five minutes of riding one.
I think you'll have a hard time slashing with it very easily though.

At the end of the day. a sxr and a sj are both more fun then a c-dew.
Enjoy what ya got, and feel sorry for those still ridin their couches (me, but hopefully not for long!)

What weight/strength does it take to step on that picknick table of a tray and gas it? :dunno:

well it takes a lil bit of strength to get the ass end of that big bastard out of the water enough to stab it, and it takes a lil bit of strength to corner so hard that your ass is draggin the water at full speed, but of course SJ riders wouldn't know about a ski that handles that tight.

:lmao:

it really takes allot of strength to ride around strait legged at the lake..:pokey:

i'm pretty sure i had my feet buried in my footholds and leaning forward to push the nose down as i was just about to blast a big boat wake. sorry for my inadequate pic...i don't get to ride at many places that have beaches, so it's tough to get good pics when nobody's there watching. i'll work on that though, so my avatar is as cool as yours. if you were 6'7" 235 like me, i doubt you'd even be coordinated enough to ride a butt surfer

so now your comparing modding with a carbon hull and 1000ccs to modding with impeller and steering?
everybody knows stock sxrs are anti-freestyle. ive seen stock sjfrees, never seen stock sxr freestyle.

excluding the mods that BOTH skis need.
srx needs
pole
hood

sj needs
impeller
head
steering

seems sj will be cheaper and lighter.

how do you figure a sj will be cheaper? it will be lighter but, for a sj to be fun they NEED prop, grate, pipe, head, steering, and holds.

all an sxr needs is a pipe and holds and you will have a ton of power....stock poles hold up for a while but they do need to be replaced eventually. you dont need a hood, i dont know where you get that? you can lighten the stocker (mine is at 13lbs). i bet an sxr with a wet pipe is just as fast if not faster than a sj with a pipe enhancer prop head and all that crap you guys have to put on them....
