I never posted my new truck I guess.

1990 K5 from Florida, 10x cleaner than any Michigan truck I could find.

Nice! this is definitely on my list of vehicles to own, I've had a handfull of K5s but one day I will buck up the cash and get a nice clean southern one. I think I'd have to go pre '76 though.

Here's my little rig as it sits now.

I recommend going with a newer EFI truck, and swapping it to a Pre '76 top. That's my current project, chopping the top and converting to a 73-75 full convertible.

With all the options out there, and a limited availability to metal fabrication tools and body work experience, it's probably easier to bolt on an EFI kit than it is to chop the top off of two trucks and graft them together..GM TBI ignition isn't exactly anything to write home about.
How many hours of body work can you get for $995?

Plus the EFI trucks had the crap axles.

It's true that the stock TBI setup isn't very good, but the newer trucks also have a galvanized body, better floorpan setup, 700r4 4-speed, and also make for a better platform for an LS swap (Which is in my plans).I also don't think I would call the stock 10-bolts crap compared to the D44/12-bolt setup of the older trucks, there really isn't much difference.

^ Love it man! I miss my old 89 Toyota single cab. 5speed, 4 inch lift on some mickey Thompsons.. Those ole 22RE motors are runners... If I could go back, I would keep it and rebuilt it when time came.. I beat myself up everyday about it almost..
Ive been looking for another used little Toyota, Their so expensive even with 200k. They hold their resale value so well..

Thanks Dude! I wish i could have a longer bed, but everything else is what I need. Everything is manual, and a 3 in lift. Does great for wheeling up where I live. I only want a locker and bigger tires and ill be happy.

I did pay a pretty penny for it, but the truck is mint!
